… means that we are left with an office full of red-rimmed, crazy-eyed creative people who have been tearing their hair out for the last few months/weeks to create enough product for the annual Bologna Book Fair. Since I work predominantly in licensed product I never cop the full brunt of this panic-ridden time – however, this time I wasn’t so lucky. There’s nothing like a million last-minute requests for ranges of new product to make you realise that:

a) You actually DO love the mental, rage-inducing pace of publishing

b) Alcohol was created for this very reason

c) I have an amazing team to work with (because let’s be honest, no man is an island – or something)

d) The alcohol is now too far away from you… Enjoy the weekend as I go burn off some crazy with friends and fun!
